Way of working

In order to achieve the best result for my client, first of all I focus on the core activities of the client, including its market, field of competitors, culture, strategy and other business drivers. This approach works out well. It allows me to quickly discover what is really important for my client, so that I can not only protect the client’s rights, but also support the client’s commercial interest in an optimal way. Through my wide international experience in business, I can also take the role as strategic sparring partner, if so wished.

My way of working was once accurately described as that of a ‘virtual in-house lawyer’. The basis of my method is having maintained close contact with both senior management and any other relevant players in organisations, both line managers and as professionals of legal and financial departments, etcetera. It quickly results in business insight and knowledge of internal procedures and allows to see the “concept behind the contract” and to keep this as the guideline in any relevant document.

Communication

My availability is virtually limitless, with short and fast communication lines through e-mail and telephone when applicable, and face-to-face contact when required, which also applies to a first personal introduction. Apart from my office in Sønderborg, Denmark, I am available at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, The Netherlands where I keep an office at least a few days per month.
